How to commission a video
If you haven't commissioned a video before - here are a few tips to help you get started. There are four basic steps that I recommend:-
- Set the Purpose and objectives of your video.
- Write a Brief (simply write down what you want the video to contain and achieve).
- Set a budget
- Choose a Production Company.
There are lots of video production companies around and choosing the right one is very important. So I recommend that you select three, give them all the same brief - and then ask them to explain what they would do, how they would do it and how much it would cost. But most importantly, TAKE A GOOD LOOK AT THE QUALITY OF THEIR WORK. Not just a show reel - some complete videos - they should be just what you want!
