A well produced promotional video is the most effective way to showcase an artist or band. Whilst serious agents will always want to see you perform live at some stage, a DVD is the ideal way of getting that initial interest. It has the benefit of letting people see what you look like as well as what you sound like!
YouTube has changed for ever the way we are able get ourselves seen and heard. Anybody can use a camcorder and get it online to the world but if you really want to look and sound like you are serious - then you need to use a professional!
Music and performance videos can vary dramatically in their complexity but we believe that we can produce a credible music video for a realistic price. We are currently offering a basic single camera, solo artist recording from as little as £375.
"We urgently needed a performance promo on DVD and Graham at VISIONFOURVIDEO did a great job producing one for us. Despite the band having some sound problems on the day, Graham worked very hard for us and his experience was invaluable. We were very impressed with the finished DVD."

If you are a singer songwriter and simply want to sing to your own acoustic guitar for instance, then you have a good chance. If you are a band, then it gets more difficult. You can get away with a quite a lot when playing live that sounds terrible when recorded! You should really only consider a live video recording if you are competent musicians, have an acustically good venue and an experienced sound engineer - and even then it can be tricky to get a good sound. If you want it for promotional purposes, then I recommend that you record a couple of tracks in a studio first and then mime to them. This way everyone can concentrate on the video and a good sound is guaranteed.
Because we will always give you honest, no-nonsense advice on the best and most effective way of producing your video. I have worked as a semi pro keyboard player in bands and have a good basic understanding of sound recording and getting a good music presentation video. We use only high quality digital video equipment and as my aim is always to produce as good a video as possible within the given budget, I will only take on work when I believe we can achieve the required standard. As video can be produced to a variety of standards and formats - all of which can have a very significant effect on the cost and quality of your finished video, then choosing the right video production company is clearly very important. So where do we start... Ok, step 1 is to really clarify the purpose of your video and how the end product will be used. If it is only going to be seen on Youtube for instance, then you don't need to pay for broadcast standards, whereas if it is going to be used for cinema advertising then you certainly won't want it shot on mini dv.
